Harmony Race

On 7 July 2018, 27 participants aged between 18 and 35 came together to compete in the race, yet to a larger context, to deepen their understanding of racial diversity in Singapore.

The Harmony Race, modelled after the famous Amazing Race format, created an opportunity for experiential learning and facilitates cross-cultural understanding and interaction between people from all racial and religious backgrounds. Shopkeepers, vendors, shoppers and chefs assumed various roles such as game masters and instructors to assist the teams in accomplishing 11 challenges across 5 pitstops at well-known landmarks in Singapore, such as Tiong Bahru market, Chinatown, Little India, Malay Heritage Centre and Eurasian Community House.
